Style in Pink and Red

Hai peeps

Love is in the air when it comes to the second month of the year. The heart shapes, flowers, dolls are everywhere, decorate shopping centers,  restaurants  and cafes, and also advertisement on tv or media paper. Everything seems to fit the romantic ambiance especially on Valentine's Day. For those who celebrate the day, some might think that the best way to dress on Valentine's Day date is by wearing Pink outfit. However some other think Red is more agreeable on reflecting the love. But how about to wear both colors together for your outfit?

Pick red color as the highlight of the outfit, for instance a red maxi skirt paired with pink top.  I tried to put pink as the main color of the entire look but somehow it didn't work. Add a neutral color hijab and handbag, because pink and red are bright enough so you don't need another color. Black hijab and handbag would be good to give elegant touch.

Talking about Valentine's Day, sebenarnya saya bukan termasuk orang yang merayakan Valentine. I'm talking about your love to friends and family. Probably almost every second every day you do things to prove your love to your lover, but how about your friends and family? people who actually there for you when you are low. You can go for a date with your lover every weekend, so why don't you go for a dinner date with your friends or family to celebrate your love ....

PS. I asked my family to have a dinner on Val's day, but sorry no picture because we were out of control when the dishes were brought to our table, sudah lapaarr tak sempat foto foto,, #bukanmakanmakancantik ^^

Oxblood Batik

Hai dolls
assalamuallaikum

Ok, first of all I need to put hastags for this post. #super #latepost
The super late story I'm about to write is a story of Indonesia's Independence Day last year. I know! it's so last year right :D

So last August, I together with Indonesian community in Melbourne, celebrated our Independence Day by having flag-raising ceremony in the city center. After the ceremony, there was a performance of Saman Dance from the collaboration of Indonesian student, International student and also Indonesian permanent resident. One of my friend became part of the dancer group and asked my favor to do the make up for her. I can do a daily make up which is light and simple but never do a 'heavy' one. Most importantly, I do it on my own face, never in anyone face! But since I decided not to join the dance performance (I'm sorry but Saman is to mainstream for Indonesian who study abroad, I just do Swing Dance *peace)  and I still wanted to contribute to this event so I said yes to her. And not to forget to gave Indonesia's touch, me and some other people attended the Independence Day ceremony wearing Batik. I brought some batik with me but I think this is my favorite one as I also wore it and wrote a post about it here. It was an oxblood batik cape with a touch of green from @ToskaMalika.

Oxblood is an elegant hue that will be perfect for a party or a night-out. However you can style it in a casual wear if you pair it with the right color. Oxblood is a strong color, it can stand on it's own. You just need to put a bit touch of other colors to complete your look. Add gold accessories  to create a classy look for your night out or pair it with grey pants, shoes or shawl for casual look. You can also look pretty by giving a little bit (deep) green touch likewise batik print on my cape. It's pretty right? *or maybe it's just me who pretty enough to wear the colors* haha

Midi Me : How I Wear My Midi Skirt

Hello peeps!

OMG long time no post here! yes I know, I'm a lazy blogger.. but hey, the reason I rarely write new posts is because I try to share something useful on my blog. For me, blog is a media where I can share things through my posting such as experience, knowledge, thought etc and off course some picture to support the story. Some readers might enjoy seeing (not reading) a blog that only contains 'beautiful picture', but me, since the first time I became familiar with blogging world by reading dianarikasari, hijabscarf and jezmineblossom I knew that what we wrote is as important as the picture we post.
So here I am, after a while finally try to share some tips about how to wear a midi skirt.

Midi skirt is a another choice of skirt that hijabi can wear, besides maxi skirt or pencil skirt. I started to do experiment with this kind of skirt because cute midi skirt is easier to find in Melbourne rather than to find a pretty maxi skirt. Midi skirt is tricky to wear, but here are some do's to pull off wearing a midi skirt.

1# Tuck your top into your skirt. This way is to create a longer lower body. When you slip in your top it will give you better waist-to-toes proportion

2# Wear a crop outer for a chic look. If you like to add an outer onto your look, choose the crop one. We want to avoid too much layer around your waist because the shape of midi skirt itself is already full and flare. Here i wore a crop cardigan on top of my basic tshirt.

3# Wear nude color footwear to give a long legs illusions. If you pair it wrongly, midi skirt can make you look short. If you worry your skirt will make you look shorter, pair your midi skirt with nude shoes. Flat shoes will be ok but pump heels or wedges will give you taller look even more. I wore a nude rope platform wedges. *since it's the only wedges I have :D

4# Choose the perfect length of skirt, not too low and most importantly not too high because we don't want to show too much ankles. You can wear a full legging underneath your skirt if you like.

That's what I can share for you guys today
see you soon
